One of the research directions renewable energy sources is production biohydrogen from dark fermentation organic matter. During this process, since hydrogen produced along with a complex mixture other gases and vapors, gas requires further purification. relatively easy solution to problem might be utilization separation membrane modules given their low consumption, simple operation ease upscaling. In work, hollow fiber (HF) membranes based on polyetherimide (PEI) were developed tested. HF spun polymer PEI using wet phase inversion process into water bath pilot-scale spinning device. Gas transport measurements showed that exhibited permeances between 9.3 19.2 GPU CO2/H2 selectivities within range 3.3 - 5.6. Morphology studies regular shapes resembling fibers outer diameters 250-320 microns, depending various parameters process. The best performing selected morphological analysis carried out. Selected incorporated two types modules. type was laboratory-scale mini-module used for preliminary tests, while module designed treatment larger amounts biohydrogen. Two units constructed. For laboratory use, low-pressure unit proved more accurate regulation match fermenters performance in comparison high-pressure one.
